Precision Orthodontics in Auburn, CA is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join their orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of orthodontic procedures, possess excellent interpersonal and  communication, has solid organizational skills, and be passionate about creating beautiful smiles for our patients.
Responsibilities

1. Assist the orthodontist in providing dental care, including but not limited to orthodontic assessments, fitting and adjustment of braces, taking impressions, and conducting X-rays.
2. Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary dental instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready to use.
3. Greet and prepare patients, providing instructions on oral care and post-treatment procedures.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with treatment details and progress.
5. Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices, such as brushing, flossing, and wearing of orthodontic appliances.
6. Collaborate with the orthodontist to explain treatment plans and answer patient questions or concerns.
7. Provide support during dental procedures, anticipating the orthodontist's needs and ensuring patient comfort.
8. Monitor and document patients' vital signs as required for orthodontic treatment.
9. Assist with scheduling appointments, processing paperwork, and managing patient records.
10. Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques.

Requirements
1. Successful completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
2. Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
3. Additional certification or experience in orthodontics is required.
4. Prior experience as a dental assistant in an orthodontic setting is preferred.
5. Willingness to travel as needed to different dental offices within the designated region.
6. Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.
9. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
10. CPR certification is preferred.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
