Image Orthodontics in San Jose, CA is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join their orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of orthodontic procedures, possess excellent interpersonal and  communication, has solid organizational skills, and be passionate about creating beautiful smiles for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist in providing chair-side clinical support during orthodontic procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments and maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
• Take and develop X-rays, impressions, and intraoral photographs as needed
• Assist with patient education and oral hygiene instructions
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines
• Assist with lab work, such as pouring and trimming models
• Provide exceptional customer service and patient care at all times

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification
• Orthodontic Assistant certification (OA) preferred
• Prior experience working in an orthodontic practice
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Fine motor skills to handle dental instruments and equipment
• Vision and hearing ability to accurately perform job duties
