Axelrode Orthodontics is a leading orthodontic practice in Moraga, CA dedicated to providing exceptional care and treatment to our patients. We specialize in creating beautiful smiles and are committed to delivering outstanding service in a warm and welcoming environment. 

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant (RDA/OA) to join our team. As an RDA/OA, you will play a vital role in supporting our orthodontists and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. You will work closely with patients, providing assistance during orthodontic procedures and helping to create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Schedule

  • This is a full-time position
  • Monday through Friday - no weekends
  • 8am to 5pm

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Must have current CA certified RDA license or OA license
  • At least 1 year of Orthodontic assisting experience
  • Current X-ray license
  • Outgoing, positive, upbeat, and friendly personality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Reliable transportation and dependable

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist orthodontists during patient consultations, examinations, and treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Take patient records, including X-rays, photographs, and impressions.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care instructions.
  • Perform basic orthodontic procedures, such as fitting bands, brackets, and archwires.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as directed by the orthodontist.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in orthodontic care.
