Smile Country Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. As a registered dental hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent dental care and promoting optimal oral health for our patients. You will be responsible for performing various dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist in providing high-quality dental treatments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Perform dental hygiene procedures: Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis, to remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
2. Examine patients' oral health: Assess oral health conditions, including periodontal disease, caries, and abnormalities, and provide appropriate recommendations and referrals for further treatment.
3. Conduct patient education: Educate patients on good oral hygiene practices, proper toothbrushing and flossing techniques, and the importance of regular dental visits for maintaining optimal oral health.
4. Evaluate and record dental charts: Accurately document patients' dental and medical histories, update dental charts, and ensure all findings are communicated to the dentist for further evaluation.
5. Administer local anesthesia: Administer local anesthesia to numb patients' mouths and gums prior to dental procedures, ensuring patients' comfort and providing pain relief as needed.
6. Take dental radiographs: Capture dental x-rays and intraoral images using digital imaging equipment, ensuring that the images are of high quality and properly documented in patients' records.
7. Assist the dentist: Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, taking dental impressions, placing dental dams, and providing suction, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
8. Maintain infection control standards: Follow proper infection control protocols, including sterilizing and disinfecting dental equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends: Stay updated on the latest advancements, techniques, and best practices in dental hygiene through Continuing Education (CE) courses and professional development, promoting personal growth and enhancing patient care.
10. Ensure patient satisfaction: Provide excellent patient care by addressing their concerns and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive dental experience for all patients.

Requirements
1. Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dental hygienist.
3. Solid knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and practices.
4. Proficient in using dental software and digital imaging technology.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
7. Ability to educate and motivate patients to maintain good oral hygiene.
8. Working knowledge of relevant dental and medical terminology.
9. Familiarity with infection control protocols and adherence to safety procedures.
10. Current CPR certification.
